1/1/15 State of the Club

2014 was a fantastic year for the club!  Highlights include:

  • Our attendance was 555 people, which was our second best (the record is 618). (For a year-by-year comparison, see our Events Statistics page.)
  • We had 74 events, which set a new record! (For a year-by-year comparison, see our Events Statistics page.)
  • We had 1 more event and 59 more attendees than last year and our average number of attendees per event improved from 6.79 in 2013 to 7.50 in 2014.
  • We set event category attendance records for regular clay target shoots (166; the old mark was 152); freshwater fishing trips (56; the old mark was 45); waterfowl hunts (47; the old mark was 44); and quail hunts (12; the old mark was 4). We set event attendance records for non-chartered bay fishing trips (10; the old mark was 9) and shooting range shoots (17; the old mark was 12). Our dinners attendance was our third best and our best since 2007; our dove hunt attendance was our second best and our best since 2006; our meeting attendance was our best since 2011; and our pheasant, chucker and quail hunt was our second best.   • We had 9 people join the club (for a year-by-year comparison, see our New Members page).
  • We had 31 members renew their memberships (for a year-by-year comparison (since 2006), see our Renewals page).
  • We ended the year with 59 supporting members (our third best and our best since 2009; the record is 81). (For a year-by-year comparison (since 2002), see our Supporting Members Summary page.)
  • We had 47 time guests (our second best and our best since 2008; the record is 50). (For a year-by-year comparison (since 2002), see our First Time Guests page.)
  • During Fiscal Year 2014 (9/1/13 – 8/31/14) we took in $1,502.20 and spent $1,115.75 (for a year-by-year comparison, see our Finances page).
  • We conducted two officers’ votes, one supporting members vote, and one poll (see our Votes and Polls page for details).

We have 80 events planned for 2015 (a new record if we can pull 75 of them off).  See our Calendar and Upcoming Events page for details.
