12/16/93 General Meeting Minutes
The meeting was held at Charlie Batts’ home. Sixteen members and two guests were present (18 participants). The October -December Hunting His Way was distributed along with flyers on the 1994 Winter Dove Hunt/Retreat and the FCS 1994 Calendar of Events. Three hunting videos were viewed, one of which was a “home movie”. Plaques were awarded to Randy Slagle, outgoing President, and Eddy Chance, outgoing Vice President. The minutes from the business meeting are as follows:
- The meeting was called to order by the Vice President.
- A discussion was held on the 1994 Winter Dove Hunt/Retreat.
- A discussion was held on the FCS 1994 Calendar of Events.
- A discussion was held on choosing a Club Logo (see the minutes from the 12/7/93 Officer’s Meeting for details).

12/7/93 Officer’s Meeting Minutes
The meeting was held at Jim’s Restaurant. All three officers were present.
Business Meeting minutes:
- The president called the meeting to order.
- A discussion was held on the results of the FCS Club Evaluation.
- A discussion was held on officers’ job descriptions.
- A discussion was held on choosing a Club Logo. Proposals must be turned in to the President no later than 1/31/94. A vote will be taken during the 2/3/94 General Meeting.
- The 1994 Calendar of Events was decided upon.
- The meeting was closed by the President.
10/21/93 General Meeting Minutes
The meeting was held at Larry Dowden’s home. Ten members were present. The July -September Hunting His Way was distributed along with a flyer on the next general meeting. Two home videos (Eddy Chance’s and Paul Wilson’s) and one hunting film were viewed. Minutes from the business meeting are as follows:
- The president called the meeting to order.
- The 1993 ballot was distributed. Officers for 1994-1995 are as follows: President -Paul Wilson, Vice President – Randy Rowley, and Treasurer -Larry Dowden. Proposition 1 (hold FCS meetings in a centralized location) failed. Proposition 2 (start a south Austin chapter of the club) passed. Proposition 3 (allowing women to join the club) failed.
- A discussion was held on the winter dove hunt/retreat.
- A discussion was held on having a deer hunt(s) for men not on a lease this year.
- The meeting was closed by the President.
8/19/93 General Meeting Minutes
The meeting was held at Randy Rowley’s home. Nine members and one visitor were present (10 participants). The July -September Hunting His Way was distributed along with flyers on the bi-annual sporting clays shoot, the opening day dove hunt, the fall dove hunt/retreat, and the FCS yearly calendar. Also distributed were FCS Club evaluations, Hunting His Way evaluations, and the 1993 ballot survey. Two hunting videos were viewed. Randy Rowley gave a demonstration/lecture on how to reload shotgun shells. Minutes from the business meeting are as follows:
- The Vice President (Information) called the meeting to order (Information).
- A discussion was held on a sporting clays shoot.
- A discussion was held on an opening day dove hunt.
- A discussion was held on the fall dove hunt/retreat.
- A motion was made by Randy Rowley to substitute the gift to Dr. Harold O’Chester for his support of the Club from a golf club (see minutes from the FCS General Meeting on 6/25/92) to a bolo that featured an eagle in flight. The motion was seconded by Paul Wilson. Discussion commenced. A vote was taken. The motion passed unanimously.

6/17/93 General Meeting Minutes
The meeting was held at Ken Farmer’s home. Eight members and one guest were present (nine participants). The January – June 1993 Hunting His Way was distributed along with several flyers, a questionnaire, and a ballot survey. Several hunting videos were viewed, including a fascinating rattlesnake roundup film starring Ken Farmer. No business meeting was conducted at this meeting.
4/22/93 General Meeting Minutes
The meeting was held at Eddy Chance’s home. Twelve members were present.
- The President called the meeting to order.
- An FCS evaluation was distributed and completed by ten of the twelve members present.
- A discussion was held on holding bi-monthly meetings versus quarterly meetings. A graph detailing quarterly meeting attendance versus bi-monthly meeting attendance was explained. After much discussion concerning the drop in attendance when bi-monthly meetings were implemented, a vote was taken. By unanimous vote, the club members present decided to continue with bi-monthly meetings. Discussion was also held on shortening the business meeting section of the meetings or only having a business meeting every other meeting. The officers will further discuss this matter at the next officers’ meeting.
- A discussion was held on the mail-out policy. The Vice President (Information) brought up the fact that mailouts take 3 hours or more of his time. He also brought up the fact that many members were contacting him and requesting to have flyers, newsletters, membership packets, etc. mailed to friends, relatives, neighbors, and even people that they met at gas stations, shopping malls, etc. These mailouts also take a considerable amount of time. After a lengthy discussion, it was recommended to discontinue mailouts (except for members who live out of town). The recommendation further stated that if a member knows a person who he would like to receive information on the club, the member should bring his friend to a bi-monthly meeting (where the information can be readily obtained). The recommendation was put to a vote. It passed unanimously.
- Dues for 1993 were collected. Nine members contributed $10.00 each. If you have not contributed or would like to contribute a 1993 due, please contact Larry Dowden.
- Information was presented on the annual canoe trip.
- Information was presented on the bi-annual catfish fishing trip at Rainbow Lake.
- Information was presented on a chartered Deep-sea fishing trip for Kingfish out of Port Aransas.
- Information was presented on a Rifle, Handgun, and Shotgun Shoot at the Cherry Creek Rifle Range, scheduled for July 17, 1993, at 9:00 AM.
- Information was presented on a Sporting Clays Shoot at the Capitol City Skeet and Trap Range, scheduled for August 21, 1993, at 10:00 AM.
- Information was presented on the annual Fall Dove Retreat, tentatively scheduled for September 24 – 26, 1993.
- Flyers were passed out that detailed the dates for the remaining scheduled 1993 FCS events.
- Flyers were passed out that detailed the dates and locations of the remaining 1993 FCS meetings.
- Flyers were passed out that detailed the dates, and location of the remaining 1993 FCS meetings. The meeting was closed by the President.

2/18/93 General Meeting Minutes
The meeting was held at Paul Wilson’s home. Twelve members were present. Business Meeting minutes:
- The meeting was called to order by the Vice President (Outings).
- A discussion was held on the annual Sweethearts Appreciation Dinner.
- A discussion was held on another Hog Hunt.
- A discussion was held on holding a sporting clays shoot.
- Sign-up lists were dispensed for the above-mentioned events and the following events: the bi-annual family catfish fishing trip at Rainbow Lake, the annual canoe trip, and a chartered Deep Sea fishing trip.
- Flyers were passed out on the schedule of FCS events for 1993.
- Flyers were passed out on the schedule of FCS meetings for 1993. The dates are as follows: February 18, April 22, June 17, August 19, October 21, and December 16.
- The meeting was closed by the Vice President (Outings).
2/16/93 Officers Meeting Minutes
