1998 Hunting Trips Reports

By

9/25/98 – 9/27/98 Fall Dove Retreat

Twenty five participants saw the most dove that we have ever seen at the 8th Annual Fall Dove Retreat on 9/25/98 – 9/27/98 at one of Fred Knapick’s ranches near Dilley.  Again there were no whitewings but the sky was black with mourning dove.  Most hunters got their limits in short order.

2/20/98 – 2/22/98 Rabbit Hunt

Twenty four men and boys had a great time at the Annual Rabbit Hunt on 2/20/98 – 2/22/98 at the High Meadow Ranch north of Leander.  Thanks to Paul Wilson for organizing and running the event.

1/3/98 – 1/4/98 Winter Dove Retreat

Twenty seven men and boys had a great time at the 7th Annual Winter Dove Retreat on 1/3/98 – 1/4/98 at one of Fred Knapick’s ranches near Dilley.  The morning hunts were super, with several men limiting out on Saturday morning.  At least two men also got some quail.  Much thanks to Eddy Chance, Larry Dowden, and Derrich Pollock for their work in securing this lease for the Club.
