2000 Hunting Trips Reports

11/11/00 Duck Hunt
Fifteen hunters (two officers, three members, and ten guests) had a great time at the 2nd Annual Duck hunt near Wharton with W. S. Sherrill Waterfowl. The group of six that I, Randy Rowley, hunted with took 35 ducks (the limit was 36) and a handful of geese. The other two groups either limited out or came very close to their limits.
10/28/00 Dove Hunt
Eight hunters (one officer, three members, two youth member, one guest, and one youth guest) had a great time at a Fall Dove Hunt organized by Ron Denison with Dove Masters on 10/28/00 near Pleasanton. Thanks to Ron Denison for organizing this hunt.
9/22/00 – 9/24/00 Dove Hunt
Four men (one member and three guests) had a good time on a 9/22/00 – 9/24/00 dove hunt at Lee Ewald’s properties near Dilley. The men hunted even after the Fall Dove Retreat had been officially cancelled. They got into some birds on Friday but the shooting slowed down for the rest of the weekend. Thanks to Ronnie Ross for organizing this hunt.
3/10/00 -3/11/00 Hog Hunt
One NAC officer, two NAC members, one SAC member, one guest, and two children (seven participants) attended the 2nd Annual Hog Hunt on 3/11/00 at the Pierce Ranch near El Campo. Although game was scare Tim Price shot two good sized hogs with his shotgun on the evening hunt.
