2006 Hunting and Gathering Trips Reports

7/8/06 Hunting and Gathering Trip at Cabela’s
One officer, one guest, and one son (three total participants) had a great time at our Annual Hunting and Gathering Trip to Cabela’s (on I-35 in Buda) on 7/8/06. Just as last year, I, Randy Rowley, found several items that aren’t available at Sportsmen’s Warehouse or Academy. I gathered a Shakespeare Ugly Stik Tiger Lite Casting Rod ($60), a HiViz Magni-optic shotgun sight ($28), a Truglo Firesight (they fit Remington rifles, $23), a box of Federal Fusion .25-06 shells ($22), a Rapala Jointed Shad Rap ($6), and a shirt and cap for my wife, all for $187.00.
They had a Cabela’s employee manning a table with various hog hunting products, so I, naturally, stopped by and chewed the fat. Many FCS members will be amazed to learn that I didn’t purchase any of the new attractants (because my old attractants work just fine).
