12/14/06 Club Meeting minutes (by Kenneth Kidd)
Five officers, 10 members, two guests, two sons, and one daughter attended (20 participants) the 12/14/06 Club Meeting at Randy Rowley’s home.
Two turkeys were served. Chris Rowley did a marvelous job of baking one turkey while Charles Cutchens did a great job of deep frying the other. Both were excellent. A variety of side dishes were provided by members, and all were ravenously devoured. An excellent meal and fine fellowship, as usual for our meetings. Thanks to all who brought side dishes. We watched “How to Hunt Pheasant’s and Quail” while we ate.
Mark discussed some upcoming events as well as the Operation Orphans donations. Check out the website if you missed it. We can still take donations of items for the Orphans through 12/27/06, cash is always acceptable.
Randy discussed an unexpected hog hunt that you can go on if interested.
The new t-shirts are in.
Derrich Pollock presented a great devotional. He also led us in prayer for new prayer requests.
The evening concluded by watching “Mission: Green” (a duck and goose hunting DVD) while the ladies went on a hunting and gathering (shopping) expedition.
11/13/06 Annual Officer’s Meeting minutes (by Kenneth Kidd)
The Annual FCS Officers meeting was convened at Texas Land and Cattle in Cedar Park on 11/13/06. President Randy Rowley, VP (Events) Mark Dillow, VP (Ministries) Derrick Pollock, Treasurer Ron Denison, Secretary Kenneth Kidd, and our new Webmaster Brett Stacks were in attendance (all six officers).
The meeting was opened with prayer by Derrick Pollock.
With few exceptions the club has had a record year of participation and membership. Details will be forthcoming in the 2007 State of the Club Report.
A discussion was held on the website concerning what topics are popular and in demand. Our web server keeps statistics on our top 30 URLs that were hit (visited) each month) as well as what people are searching for when they use our search engine. Details will also be forthcoming in the 2007 State of the Club Report. Brett had some ideas on how to cause more hits on the site, which he will explore.
A discussion was held on the 2007 proposed calendar and other future events. The consensus is to plan more ministry events and events to make us more involved and visible in the community. We are making a priority to find another place for our dove retreats that is inexpensive ($35 or less a day) and at least 100 miles from home (to keep guys from going home to momma after a hunt).
A discussion was held on having promotions at member’s churches. The officer’s would like to have some presentations at member’s churches to promote the Club and to benefit the men of the member’s church. To date we have had FCS promotions at Great Hills Baptist Church, Hyde Park Baptist Church, and First Baptist Church of Pflugerville. In order to have a promotion at your church all we need is for you to get approval from your pastor and to stand with us as we do the promotion. We maintain a permanent table at Great Hills Baptist Church and average over 10 brochures taken each week as well as a couple guys a week signing up to be added to our distribution list. How many men at your church would benefit from learning about FCS?
The meeting was closed with prayer by Mark Dillow.
10/5/06 Club Meeting minutes (report by Kenneth Kidd and Randy Rowley)
Five officers, nine members, five guests, four sons, and one daughter (a record tying 24 participants) had a great time at the 10/5/06 Club Meeting at Eddy Chance’s new abode. Thanks to Eddy for his hospitality and for cooking the ribeye steaks, baked potatoes, corn on the cob, and queso. The fellowship was great. We discussed upcoming events and prayer requests were taken by Derrick Pollock. Randy Rowley also discussed our need for a teacher for the Great Hills FCS class, a Webmaster, and submissions for the proposed 2007 Club Calendar. Andy Spencer gave a presentation of the Great Hills Baptist Church Men’s Wild Game Banquet with Dr. Paige Patterson, scheduled for 11/9/06. Two handguns for sale were displayed. We have a variety of events coming up. You are sure to be interested in one or two. Look at the web page and get involved. Five members renewed their memberships. Be sure to check your expiration date. If you missed the meeting too bad; however, there is another one coming up in December. You don’t want to miss Randy’s deep fried turkey and other fixing’s.
8/3/06 Club Meeting minutes (report by Kenneth Kidd and Randy Rowley)
Four officers, seven members, and one first time guest (12 participants) had a great time at the 8/3/06 at Charles Cutchens’ home. The meeting was a great success. We enjoyed killer queso made by La Donna Cutchens and a traditional shrimp boil with all the fixings – sausage, potatoes, corn on the cob, and of course lots of shrimp. Thanks to Charles and his lovely wife La Donna for allowing us the use of their home. We discussed upcoming events and a dove lease available with the Drott brothers and told tall tales of past events. The biggest issue is that the annual retreat has been moved from Dilly to San Angelo for the opening weekend hunt. A moving devotional/inspiration word was brought by Derrich Pollock reminding us that for the grace of God we would be in the world instead of in the saving grace of God, and that we can all make tragic mistakes in our lives. We should constantly guard our testimony and lift up and support each other. Derrich also led us in prayer. We watched a video on duck and goose hunting.
6/1/06 Club Meeting minutes
Three officers, six members, and two sons (11 participants) had a good time at the 6/1/06 Club Meeting at Larry Dowden’s home. We enjoyed grilled fajita’s, rice, beans, and some killer queso made by Larry. Derrich Pollock led us in prayer requests since our last meeting. We watched the video “Performance Bowhunting 3.”

4/6/06 Club Meeting minutes
Eleven participants (three officers, four members, one guest, and three children) had a great time at the 4/6/06 Club Meeting at Ron Denison’s home. We enjoyed grilled dove and fajitas. Ken Farmer led us in a devotional on 1 John. A great point was made in the devotional “If you do not know the truth how will you recognize a lie?” I, Randy Rowley, led us in prayer requests since our last meeting. We didn’t watch any DVD’s because we spent a lot of time preparing the dove.

2/2/06 Club Meeting minutes
Ten participants (two officers, six members, and two sons) had a great time at the 2/2/06 Club Meeting at Mr. Charlie Batts’ home. We enjoyed homemade chili courtesy of Eddy Chance and John Murray and homemade cornbread muffins, cake, and IBC Root Beer courtesy of Charlie, and “dog bone” cookies courtesy of John. John led us in a devotional and I, Randy Rowley, led us in prayer requests since our last meeting. We watched the DVD North American Hunts II. Charlie’s pool table and pinball machine were also well used. A discussion was held on Upcoming Event Details.
