Webmaster Report
The website is stable and there are no issues.

All categories with the following exceptions are equal to or better than 2011 – 2013. The exceptions included:

  • hog hunts (down because we only had one last year);
  • sporting clays tournaments (down slightly from the previous year; Capitol City Trap & Skeet Club had one fewer tournament than last year);
  • officers meetings (attendance will be lower when compared with previous years as we now have three fewer officers);
  • ministry events (down because we only had one last year);
  • promotions (our one promotion was held in Buda – far away from where most of our members live),
  • pheasant, chuckar, and quail hunts (down slightly from last year); and
  • new members (down slightly from last year).

All in all things are going great!

2.  Event planning, promotion, and reporting equity – a discussion was held on how we can have more equity in the coordination of events. For example: Randy Rowley has sent and received over 900 emails this duck season planning eight self-guided hunts and five guided hunts (13 total hunts). If he spent an average of five minutes per email then he would have spent 4500 minutes or 75 hours coordinating these 13 events! And that’s just 13 of the 81 events on our calendar this year. We discussed reducing the number of events (very probable for our self-guided duck hunts), recruiting more officers, and spreading the work out among the existing officers. Randy has promised to act only as a consultant/administrator for the events that Ken Miller and Richard Corbin are responsible. This should reduce the amount of time that he is spending on FCS work each week. Prayer and thought is going into the next steps.
