2017 – Ministry Events

5/4/17 Wild Game Dinner/Ministry Event

Nine participants had a great time at the 5/4/17 Wild Game Dinner (Ministry Event) for the residents of St. George’s Court Apartments (for people who are elderly and disabled).  We fed around 30 residents venison, hog, dove, duck, pheasant, turkey, redfish, and shark.  The weather was perfect and a great time was had by all!

The St. George’s Court residents enjoyed the meal immensely and several of them took home a lot of left-overs.  They were very appreciative.

Many volunteers made this event possible, from donations to food prep, serving and cleaning.  Big thank you’s to:

  • Charles Batts, Ron Denison, Jonathan Fleming, Burl Fulenwider, Frank Hamilton, Tim Price, Randy Rowley, Ryan Rowley, Daryl Shipper, Bob Steckler, and Wayne Weilnau for donating game of various sorts (Marshall Hammond also offered to donate meat, but there was no more room in Randy’s freezer);
  • Michael Armstrong and Richard Corbin for donating money; and
  • Jeff Cates, Ron Denison, Burl Fulenwider, Mark Moore, Randy Rowley, Daryl Shipper, Bob Steckler, Joe Swearman, and Wayne Weilnau for helping out at the event.

A little that a righteous man has Is better than the riches of many wicked. For the arms of the wicked shall be broken, But the LORD upholds the righteous.
