2018 – FCS Meetings Reports

12/11/18 FCS Meeting and Venison Stew

14 participants had a good time at the 12/11/18 FCS Meeting at Wayne Weilnau’s home.  The meeting featured a yummy venison stew, French bread, venison summer sausage, cheese, cookies and drinks courtesy of Wayne.  Earl Prochnick brought some delicious fudge. Randy Rowley presented a devotional titled Two Good Rattlesnakes.  We discussed creating new brochures and have some three day long trips to Lake Tahoma and similar.

President’s Report

Membership – since our last meeting on 10/9/18, we had five people join the club, three people renew their memberships, and three first time guests.

Events – since our last meeting on 10/9/18, we had 13 events with an attendance of 54 people, which is an average of 4.15 people per event.  We have 17 events planned from 12/12/18 until our next meeting on 2/4/19.  See our Calendar and Upcoming Events web page for details.

10/9/18 FCS Meeting and Shrimp Boil

Six participants had a good time at the 10/9/18 FCS Meeting at Bruce Crockett’s home.  The meeting featured a shrimp boil, veggie and dip and cheese and crackers trays, and brownies.  Randy Rowley presented a devotional titled Sight Casting.  We watched a DVD on sporting clays tips.

President’s Report

Membership – since our last meeting on 8/6/18, we had three men join the club, six men renew their memberships, and seven first time guests.

Events – since our last meeting on 8/6/18, we had 12 events with an attendance of 97 people, which is an average of 8.08 people per event.  We have 11 events planned from 10/10/18 until our next meeting on 12/6/18.  See our Calendar and Upcoming Events web page for details.

8/6/18 FCS Meeting and Steak Dinner

Fifteen participants had a good time at the 8/6/18 FCS Meeting at Randy Rowley’s home.  The meeting featured ribeye steaks, new potatoes, corn on the cob, Texas toast, queso and chips, three kinds of pie, Cokes, and tea.  Randy led a devotional called Thwarted!  Larry Dowden shared a testimony on what God has been doing in Laverne’s and his lives.  We watched Spiritual Outdoor Adventures Season 10 Canadian Trophy Quest for Whitetails.

Membership – since our last meeting on 6/14/18, we had five men renew their memberships and two first time guests.

Events – since our last meeting on 6/14/18, we had ten events with an attendance of 57 people, which is an average of 5.70 people per event.  We have 14 events planned from 8/7/18 until our next meeting on 10/9/18.  See our Calendar and Upcoming Events web page for details.

6/14/18 FCS Meeting and Fajita Dinner

Ten participants had a good time at the 6/14/18 FCS Meeting at Jim McGee’s home.  The meeting featured fajitas, bell peppers, onions, tortillas (Frisbees), rice, beans, cookies, and tea.  Stephen Marlow showed the group his handmade black powder pistol and knives.  Randy Rowley led a devotional called On the Rocks.  Thanks to John Bobo who donated four paintings/pictures that were given away as door prizes.

Events – since our last meeting on 4/24/18, we had 10 events with an attendance of 73 people, which is an average of 7.30 people per event.  We have 11 events planned from 6/15/18 until our next meeting on 8/6/18.  See our Calendar and Upcoming Events web page for details.  We also discussed at length possibilities for the upcoming dove season.

4/24/18 FCS Meeting and Chili Dinner

Ten participants had a good time at the 4/24/18 FCS Meeting at Mr. Charles Batts’ home.  The meeting featured chili (courtesy of Randy Rowley and Daryl Shipper), IBC Rootbeer (courtesy of Charles), and pound cake and cookies (courtesy of Daryl).  Thanks to those who brought food and drinks!  Randy lead a devotional called Catchers of Men.  We watched Ted Nugent’s Spirit of the Wild on a deer hunt (surprise!).

Events – since our last meeting on 2/5/18, we had 15 events with an attendance of 116 people, which is an average of 7.73 people per event.  We have 10 events planned from 4/25/18 until our next meeting, scheduled for 6/7/18.  See our Calendar and Upcoming Events web page for details.

2/5/18 FCS Meeting and Wild Game Dinner

Fourteen participants had a good time at the 2/5/18 FCS Meeting at Ron Denison’s home.  The meeting featured wild game including chicken fried venison and gravy, pork stew and sauerkraut, grilled venison steaks, grilled quail, jalapeno/cheese venison sausage, venison summer sausage, venison dry sausage, potato salad, pinto beans, cheese and crackers, olives, King’s Hawaiian rolls, and Sue Denison’s yummy chocolate eclair cake (I hope that I didn’t leave anything out).  Thanks to all who brought food!  Randy Rowley lead a devotional called Patched.  We watched a DVD on tips on shooting clay targets.
