2022 – Ministry Events

10/4/22 Ministry Event (National Night Out Dinner)
Five participants served the Lord and the residents of the Pathways at Northgate Apartments (for people who are disabled or involuntarily displaced by a natural disaster or government action) during the National Night Out (“National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances. The state of Texas and select areas celebrate the first Tuesday in October”). We cooked 64 burgers and at least that many hot dogs. Thanks to Burl Fulenwider, Fulenwider, Ross Jordan, Randy Rowley, and Daryl Shipper for volunteering.
6/15/22 Ministry Event (Wild Game Dinner)
Six participants served the Lord and the residents of St. George’s Court apartments (for people 62 years old and above and/or disabled). Around 25 residents were fed venison, pheasants, chukar, quail, duck, white bass, catfish, onion rights, French fries, and hush puppies. The weather was perfect and a great time was had by all! The St. George’s Court residents enjoyed the meal immensely and were very appreciative.
Many volunteers made this event possible, from donations to food prep, serving and cleaning. Thanks to:
