2nd Qtr 2009 – Club Results

By

We had a setback for the April – June quarter of 2009.  Our attendance was 80 people, which tied our fourth best for this quarter but was far behind last year’s record of 145 for this quarter .  We still blew away what was our average for this quarter (56).  We had nine events, which was also our fourth best for this quarter.  In addition we had five men join the Club, eight men renew their memberships, and four first time guests during this quarter.

The Christian Sportsmen’s Class has been discontinued.   Twenty eight months ago, when I received permission from Pastor Lewis of Great Hill Baptist Church to start the class, it was with the hope that some of the church’s 35 or so FCS members would join and become permanent members of the class.  Although we had a few FCS members join, most of them returned to their original departments or joined other departments.  For the past two months we have only averaged three people in attendance, counting Chris and I.  In taking a reality check, I realized that we had not accomplish my goal and were not going to accomplish it.

I hope to see you at an FCS event soon and hope that you have a fantastic Independence Day!

Following His trail,

Randy Rowley

FCS President
