1998 Shoots Reports

12/5/98 Sporting Clays Shoot
History was made at the 12/5/98 Sporting Clays Shoot at the Capitol City Trap & Skeet Range. No it wasn’t the number of participants (only four men participated – one officer and three members); instead it was what many though wouldn’t happen – Tim Price fell in defeat! I, Randy Rowley, jumped out to an early lead on a blustery, cloudy day and survived a furious comeback by Tim that fell one bird short. The last station was especially tense. I shot first and broke 5 out of 6, forcing Tim to have to break all six to tie. However, he missed the second bird of the first double. I ended up with 37/50 kills (my best) and Tim shot 36/50.
Jesse Price came in third place with 25/50. He was followed by Ron Denison 11/50.
8/29/98 Sporting Clays Shoot
The old attendance record and several clay targets were shattered at the 8/29/98 Sporting Clays Shoot at the Capitol City Trap & Skeet Club. Twenty six men, boys, and one guests girlfriend had a great and challenging time (our old attendance record was 14).
Tim Price came in first place. Warren Hoke and I, Randy Rowley, tied for second place.
