Faith Statement

  1. We believe in the one, almighty, triune God, the creator of all things. (Gen. 1:1, John 1:1-3)
  2. We believe that man was uniquely created in the image of God with authority over and responsibility for the rest of earthly creation. (Gen. 1:27-28)
  3. We believe that Jesus is the Christ, the son of the living God, that He died for our sins, that He was raised by God on the third day according to the scriptures, that He lives eternally, and that He shall one day return to judge the earth. (Matt. 16:16, I Cor. 15:3-6, 20-25, Rev. 1:7, 17-18)
  4. We acknowledge that, apart from Christ, all men are by nature and choice sinful and separated from God, deserving of judgement and in need of His grace. (Romans 3:23, 5:12, 6:23)
  5. We believe that Jesus Christ is God’s only provision for man’s sin. We receive salvation by His grace when we place our trust in Him as Savior and Lord. (John 14:6, Eph. 2:8-9)
  6. We believe that God’s Holy Spirit indwells all Christians, guiding us and empowering us to live in accordance with His will as we submit to His control in faithful obedience. (John 14:16-17, Romans 8:9, Gal. 5:16)
  7. We believe that the Bible is the inerrant, inspired word of God to man. It is the supreme authority in all matters of faith and doctrine. (II Tim. 3:16-17)
  8. We understand that as Christian men, we have responsibilities before God to:
  • Encourage one another to love and good works. (Heb. 10:24-25)
  • Be witnesses for Christ to an unbelieving world. (Matt. 28:18-20, Acts 1:8)
  • Be spiritual leaders in our homes, loving our own wives as Christ loved the church and trainingour children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. (Eph. 5:25, 6:4)
  • Be good stewards over the rest of the earthly creation. (Gen. 1:28)

Bible verse of the day

Believers in humble circumstances ought to take pride in their high position. But the rich should take pride in their humiliation—since they will pass away like a wild flower.
