Statement of Faith

  1. We believe in the one, almighty, triune God, the creator of all things (see Genesis 1:1 and John 1:1-3).
  2. We believe man was uniquely created in the image of God with authority over and responsibility for the rest of earthly creation (see Genesis 1:27-28).
  3. We believe Jesus is the Christ, the son of the living God, who he died for our sins, who God raised on the third day, who lives eternally, and who will one day return to judge and rule the earth (see Matthew 16:16, I Corinthians 15:3-6, 1 Corinthians 15:20-25, Revelation 1:7, and Revelation 1:17-18).
  4. We acknowledge, apart from Christ, all men are by nature and choice sinful and separated from God, deserving of judgment and in need of his grace (see Romans 3:23, Romans 5:12, and Romans 6:23).
  5. We believe Jesus Christ is God’s only provision for man’s sin. We receive salvation by his grace (unmerited favor) when we place our trust in him as our Savior (see John 14:6 and Ephesians 2:8-9).
  6. We believe God’s Holy Spirit indwells all Christians, guiding us and empowering us to live in accordance with his will as we submit to his control in faithful obedience (see John 14:16-17, Romans 8:9, and Galatians 5:16).
  7. We believe the Bible is the inspired word of God to man. It is the supreme authority in all matters of faith and doctrine (see 2 Timothy 3:16-17).
  8. We understand Christian men and women are responsible to:
    • Surrender control of our lives to God (see Romans 10:9).
    • Be witnesses for Christ to an unbelieving world (see Matthew 28:18-20 and Acts 1:8).
    • Meet with fellow Christians (see Hebrews 10:25).
    • Encourage one another to show love and do good works (see Hebrews 10:24).
    • Be good stewards over the rest of the earthly creation (see Genesis 1:28).
