Faith Statement

  1. We believe in the one, almighty, triune God, the creator of all things (see Genesis 1:1 and John 1:1-3).
  2. We believe that man was uniquely created in the image of God with authority over and responsibility for the rest of earthly creation (see Genesis 1:27-28).
  3. We believe that Jesus is the Christ, the son of the living God, that he died for our sins, that he was raised by God on the third day according to the scriptures, that he lives eternally, and that he shall one day return to judge the earth (see Matthew 16:16, I Corinthians 15:3-6, 1 Corinthians 15:20-25, Revelation 1:7, and Revelation 1:17-18).
  4. We acknowledge that, apart from Christ, all men are by nature and choice sinful and separated from God, deserving of judgment and in need of his grace (see Romans 3:23, Romans 5:12, and Romans 6:23).
  5. We believe that Jesus Christ is God’s only provision for man’s sin. We receive salvation by his grace when we place our trust in him as Savior and Lord (see John 14:6 and Ephesians 2:8-9).
  6. We believe that God’s Holy Spirit indwells all Christians, guiding us and empowering us to live in accordance with his will as we submit to his control in faithful obedience (see John 14:16-17, Romans 8:9, and Galatians 5:16).
  7. We believe that the Bible is the inerrant, inspired word of God to man. It is the supreme authority in all matters of faith and doctrine (see 2 Timothy 3:16-17).
  8. We understand that Christian men and women have the following responsibilities before God:
    • Be witnesses for Christ to an unbelieving world (see Matthew 28:18-20 and Acts 1:8).
    • Encourage one another to show love and do good works (see Hebrews 10:24).
    • Be good stewards over the rest of the earthly creation (see Genesis 1:28).

Bible verse of the day

Where can I go from your Spirit? Where can I flee from your presence? If I go up to the heavens, you are there; if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.
