Clay Target Shoot History

The Clay Target Shoot Scorecard shows the results from every Clay Target Shoot in the history of the Club, sporting clays/five stand shoot averages, and 1st place, 2nd place, and 3rd place finishes!  The averages are figured on a round of 50 sporting clays or five stand targets basis.  Consequently, the 8/17/02 Skeet Shoot is not included in each shooters average as only 25 targets were shot and skeet averages cannot be included with sporting clays averages as skeet’s an easier game.  Unfortunately scorecards were not always turned in to me, Randy Rowley, after every shoot or sometimes for our early shoot they were turned in to me but I only recorded the scores on those who placed (the first place or top three finishers).  However, all but two of the shoots since 6/20/98 show every competitor.

Capitol City Trap & Skeet Club (where 128 of our 160 shoots have been held) added a hunter course sometime between 6/11/05 and 7/9/05.  This course is considerably easier than their masters level course.  For example my, Randy Rowley’s, average on the hunter course is 37.58 (for 43 shoots) and my average on the masters level course is 28.19 (for 42 shoots where score was kept).  Therefore, a shooter who has only shot the hunter course should be regarded as achieving less than a shooter who has shot just the masters level course or a combination of the two, if their averages are the same.
