Crock Pot – Barbequed Beef

This is a favorite around my house.

11/2 lb. roast – chopped
11/2 c. chopped onion
11/2 c. chopped green peppers
1 can tomato paste (6 oz.)
1/4 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
1/8 c. dark vinegar
1 tbsp. chili powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
1/2 tsp. dry mustard


Set Crockery Pot on high. Add ingredients one at a time in order beginning with roast. Do not mix or stir. After 1 hour, turn to low and cook 8 to 10 hours. Stir occasionally for last hour. Shred and serve on warmed buns
