Facebook Group

FCS’ Facebook Group is an open group, which means that anyone can view and like posts and make comments.  Group members can add posts with an administrator’s approval.  This prevents people who aren’t really interested in our group from posting about wedding dresses, sports apparel, etc. (which has happened).

The administrators are:

Randy Rowley (also group owner) 2010 to present
George Reid 2021 to present
Ted Lieb 2021 to present

The primary benefit of this group is we can engage in discussions much easier than we can on the website on a myriad of topics and it exposes the Club to anyone looking for a Christian hunting, fishing, and sports shooting club on Facebook.  Also, younger people communicate more frequently via Facebook than via website discussion forums.

To post your thoughts, pictures, and videos:

  • Go to the FCS Facebook Group (you’ll need to log on to Facebook; if you don’t have a Facebook account you’ll need to create one).
  • Request to join/become a member.  Once approved by an administrator, you can post.
  • At the middle top, it states “write something” – if all you want to do is write something like, “Does anyone know a good place to hunt for squirrels?” type your question or statement in there and click “Post.”
  • In the middle (to the right of “Write Post”) is “Upload Photo / Video”  If you want to upload a picture or video, click there.  Then click “Upload Photos/Video”.  If you’re using your computer you’ll be taken to your hard drive.  If you’re using your smartphone you’ll be taken to the App that houses your photos and videos.  Select the picture(s)/video(s) that you want to share.  You can also say something about the photo(s) or video(s) in the “Say something about your photo” section (above the thumbnail of the picture or video that you selected).  Click “Post.”

Here are our Facebook group rules:

  1. Stick to the stuff.  Posts that are not related to hunting, fishing, sports shooting, Christianity, or allowable classified ads by FCS members will not be approved.
  2. No posts about Boom Boom Stick sales are allowed.  Posts about sales of Boom Boom sticks and their copper and lead little friends won’t be approved if you call them gun$ and amm0.  But you can say, “Not for sale or trade.  PM me if you would like to discuss.”  Posts with “for sale” or “for trade” or similar in them won’t be approved.  Discussions in such threads will be deleted.
  3. No posts that support drinking alcohol are allowed.  Any post that supports drinking alcohol while hunting, fishing, sports shooting and driving a vehicle, boat, ATV, etc. won’t be approved and the requester will be removed from the group and banned.  If such support is in a response to a post it will be hidden or deleted and the commenter will be removed from the group and banned.
  4. Honor fish and game laws and other rules.  Any post that supports breaking fish and game laws and other rules will not be approved and the requester will be removed from the group and banned.
  5. No posts about denominations/churches are allowed.  To prevent confusion and dissension, the admins won’t approve posts that come from or relate to a specific denomination or church; however, the admins will consider approving memes that include Bible verses, testimonies, devotionals, etc. from FCS FB group members.
  6. Watch what you say.  Posts that don’t depict Ephesians 4:29 CDB (No foul language should come from your mouth, but only what is good for building up someone in need, so that it gives grace to those who hear) won’t be approved.  If such language is in a response to a post it will be hidden or deleted.
  7. No Dick’s Sporting Goods sales posts are allowed.  Any posts pertaining to Dick’s Sporting Goods sales will not be approved, as they are an enemy.
