Four Records Set and One Tied for the 2025/2026 Self-guided Duck Hunting Season

Records included:
- Most birds – 68
- Most hunts – 17
- Average number of ducks per hunter – 1.51
- Most locations – 7 (GDWMA, RCWMA, MIWMA, Lakes Stillhouse Hollow and Granger, the DeLoach Ranch lake, and the Corpus Christi Bay)
- Most hunters (tied with 2019/2020) – 45
Our average number of ducks per hunt was our third best – 4.00 (our best was 5.57 and our second best was 4.25)
In comparison, we killed more ducks this season than the entirety of our first six seasons (the 2011 – 2017 seasons)!
In summary, it was a very good year!
