Personal comments: Life is too short to be suspicious of people you just met. Open up, take a chance, and get to know someone new. Don’t judge a book by its cover, or a man by his profession, clothes, hairstyle, skin color, or the type of car he drives. I am about the most approachable person you will ever meet, although I don’t always look that way. If you want to know anything about me, I am glad to share. I am an open book. I have some chapters that are dramatic, some that are exciting, some that are wholesome, and some that are pretty rough. I am a broken man, and I have made more than my share of mistakes, but I am a saved man through Jesus Christ our Lord, and that you can never take away from me. Do you want to know more? Let’s go get a cup of coffee and I will tell you all about it. Do you want someone that you can confide in? Let me know. I have spent time in Celebrate Recovery, and I have heard worse stories than yours. Never once have I turned someone away after learning their brokenness. Why do I bring this up? Because in the environment we are in, fellowshipping with Christians, we often feel that we will be judged by our past. Sometimes you just need to know that there are people out there you can be yourself around safely. Remember, God will take you just the way you are. All you have to do is accept His forgiveness.
