Shot Size and Calls for Turkeys

What is the best shot is for 3-inch and 2 3/4-inch 20 gauges, and their effective range for turkey hunting?  What is the best low cost\easy decoy and call for beginners?  I have used the foam decoys and they seem easy and functional, and slate call and box call.  Likely good enough?

2 or 4 shot should be fine with 20 gauges.  Go with 3″.  As you’ll be using lead shot, the effective range will be around 50 yards.  If using steel shot (not recommended) it will be around 40 yards.  Foam decoys and slate/box calls are adequate.
