12/30/11 ‘Year End Finale’ Capitol Trap & Skeet Club Sporting Clays Tournament
Bruce Crockett, Scott Timpany, Paul Ellis, and Ron Palmer participated in the ‘Year End Finale’ Sporting Clays Tournament at Capitol Trap & Skeet Club on 12/30/11. Weather conditions were perfect: 74 degrees and no wind! Scott Timpany won Class C and beat his top score from last month with a score of 87/100. Paul Ellis shot a 67 for fourth in C Class. Bruce Crockett had a 67/100 for fourth in D Class, and Ron Palmer shot a 63/100 for 5th in Class D. There were a total of 76 participants in the tournament.
12/17/11 ‘Rudolf’s Revenge’ Sporting Clays Shoot
Two officers, three members, and three guests (eight total participants) had a good time at the 12/17/11 ‘Rudolf’s Revenge’ Sporting Clays Shoot at the Capitol City Trap & Skeet Club. The weather was cool and conditions dry, which was nice after several days of rain. The scores were: Bruce Crockett took first place with 42/50, Brian Suter took second place with 40/50, and Scott Timpany took third place with 39/50. He was followed by Ron Palmer with 36/50, Flint Deshazo with 31/50, and Ken Miller and Trisa Palmer with 27/50. Jim Gault shot the first station but unfortunately had to leave due to an emergency at work.
11/27/11 ‘Mike McAlpine Open’ Capitol Trap & Skeet Club Sporting Clays Tournament
One officer and two guests (three total participants) had a good time at the 11/27/11 Mike McAlpine Open Sporting Clays tournament at the Capitol Trap & Skeet Club. Conditions were cold and windy. Scott Timpany won Class C with a score of 80/100, his best score in a tournament so far. Jim McGee’s score of 60/100 was good for 3rd place in Class D and Ron Palmer had a 51/100. There were a total of 51 participants in the tournament.
11/12/11 ‘Thanks for Giving us the Knowledge to Make Clay Targets’ FCS Sporting Clays Shoot
One officer, three members, and four guests (including four first time guests; eight total participants) had a good time at the 11/12/11 “Thanks for Giving us the Knowledge to Make Clay Targets” Sporting Clays Shoot at the Capitol City Trap & Skeet Club. The wind was very gusty which affected the targets on several of the stations; however, a good time was had by all. The scores were: first time shooter Brian Suter was first with 41/50, Scott Timpany had a 40/50 for 2nd, and Bruce Crockett shot a 38/50 for 3rd place. Other scores were Harold Terry – 30/50, Jeff Cates – 18/50, Justin Sheffield – 17/50, first time guest Jerry Ray – 17/50, and Becky Terry – 13/50.
10/29/11 National Sporting Clays Championship Tournament
One officer, one member, and one guest (three total participants – Bruce Crockett, Paul Ellis, and Ron Palmer) traveled to San Antonio on Saturday 10/29/11 to participate in the National Sporting Clays Championship Tournament at the National Shooting Complex in San Antonio. The event, which lasted from Wednesday 10/27/11 thru Sunday 10/31/11, drew nearly 1,700 shooters from 48 states and 6 foreign countries. Over a million targets were shot in the events such as 5-Stand, Sub-gauge, K-KUP, FITACS, and the 300 target Main Event. In the 100 target K-KUP, Ron shot a 71/100 and Bruce a 66/100 in D Class, while Paul shot a 65/100 in C Class. The K-KUP presentations were good and challenging, and not over the top difficult.
The weather was wonderful – cool in the morning and 72 in the afternoon. Vendor row is always a treat. Major gun companies such as Browning, Remington, Cesar Guerini, Kreighoff, and others have their guns on display and allow visitors to demo their guns on the practice field.
We hope that perhaps more shooters from FCS join us in next year’s 2012 shoot. Any shooter that is a member of the NSCA and has shot in 500 registered tournaments can participate in their assigned class in the National Championship.
10/22/11 ‘Welcome Fall’ Sporting Clays Shoot
One officer, five members, and eight guests (including five first time guests; 14 total participants) had a great time at the 10/22/11 “Welcome Fall” Sporting Clays Shoot at the Capitol City Trap & Skeet Club. The day began cool and calm, but became very windy towards the end of the shoot. All shot the Hunter course. Brett Mercer came in first place with 43/50. Bruce Crockett, Ron Palmer, and first time guest Kyle Kirkwood had a three-way tie for 2nd place with a 39/50. Paul Ellis and Warren Hoke tied for 3rd place with a 36/50. They were followed by Tricia Palmer with a 32/50 which tied the highest female score set earlier this year by Beck Terry. Harold Terry shot a 28/50, followed by a 24/50 by first time guest Kerry Kirkwood (father of Kyle). Becky Terry and first time guest Joyce Hoke both shot a 23/50. First time guest Randy Scott shot a 19 and his son Russell Scott, also first time guest, shot a 16. Dick Matteson had a 14/50. Afterwards, a few shooters shot a round of skeet and five stand. Bruce Crockett covered upcoming events and closed with prayer.
10/15/11 “FlingFest” Gunsmoke Shooting Range Sporting Clays Tournament
One member and one guest (two total participants; Paul Ellis and Ron Palmer) shot in the FlingFest Clays Tournament on 10/15/11 at Gunsmoke Shooting Range in Snook, Texas. They competed in the Main Sporting Clays event, a 100 target shoot spread over 12 stations on the Masters or Competitive course. There were a total of 48 shooters competing in the Main Event.Paul tied for 1st place in C Class with a score of 64. Ron tied for 1st place in D Class with a score of 67. Congratulations for a fine showing by Ron and Paul.
9/17/11 ‘Dog Days of Summer’ Sporting Clays and Skeet Shoot
Three officers, nine members, eight guests (including two first time guests; 15 total participants) had a great time at the 9/17/11 “Dog Days of Summer” Sporting Clays and Skeet Shoot at the Capitol City Trap & Skeet Club. It was a cloudy day and warm. It started out calm but became a little breezy. Nine shooters shot the Hunter course and six shooters shot the Master’s course.
For the Master’s course, I, Randy Rowley, came in first place with 38/50. Paul Ellis and Ron Palmer shot the Master’s course and came in second place with 33/50. Scott Timpany came in third place with 30/50. He was followed by Bruce Crockett with 29/50 and Tricia Palmer with 19/50.
For the Hunter course, Richard Corbin came in first place with 35/50 and tied his high score. Ken Miller and Harold Terry came in second place with 32/50 (Harold tied his second best score). First time guest Wade Moses came in third place with 31/50. He was followed by Randy Gordon with 24/50 (he shot his second best score), Becky Terry with 20/50, Shelly Corbin with 13/50 (this was her first time shooting with FCS), first time guest Emily Abrams with 12/50, and Dick Matteson with 10/50 (he shot his third best score).
A few shooters also shot a round of skeet. I led us in a devotional on Bearing Each Other’s Burdens.
9/11/11 ‘Bill Hughes Open’ Capitol City Trap & Skeet Club Sporting Clays Tournament
Two officers, two members, and two guests (six total participants) shot in today’s Bill Hughes Open on 9/11/11 at Capitol City Trap & Skeet Club: Paul Ellis, Scott Timpany, Jim McGee, Ron Palmer, and Bruce Crockett. Brian Suter, a new FCS member, shot with a different group. The FCS group competed in the Main Sporting Clays event, a 100 target shoot spread over 12 stations on the Masters or Competitive course. There were a total of 83 shooters competing in the Main Event.
Bruce Crockett tied for 1st place in D Class and shot his highest tournament score (71/100) to date. Brian Suter shot a /100 for 3rd place in Class D. Paul Ellis shot a 67/100, good for 3rd place in C Class. Other scores were Ron Palmer-64/100, Scott Timpany-56/100, and Jim McGee – 36/100. http://capitolclays.com/scores/110911.htm#9/11
8/20/11 ‘Dove Tune-up’ Sporting Clays and Skeet Shoot
Three officers, nine members, eight guests (including three first time guests) and one son (21 total participants) had a great time at the 8/20/11 “Dove Tune-up” Sporting Clays and Skeet Shoot at the Capitol City Trap & Skeet Club. It was an uncloudy day and hot, of course. Three groups shot on-report pairs on the Hunter’s course. One group shot the Masters course.
For the Master’s Course Paul Ellis and Scott Timpany came in first place with 38/50. Charles Cutchens came in second place with 29/50 (he tied his third best score).
For the Hunter Course, Bret Mercer came in first place with 44/50 (tying his high score). I, Randy Rowley, came in second place with 42/50 (missing my last six targets in a row). Ron Palmer came in third place with 39/50 (tying his third best score). He was followed by Flint DeShazo with 36/50 (beating his former best score by five birds); Bruce Crockett with 33/50; Ken Miller, Thomas Palmer and first time guest Justin Jackson with 31/50); Harold Terry, Greg Moerbe, Randy Gordon, and first time guest Miles Wilson with 28/50 (Randy beat his former high score by 10 birds and Harold and Greg tied their third best scores); Jeff Cates and Tricia Palmer with 23/50 (both of their second best scores); Chris Rowley, Becky Terry, and Harrison DeShazo with 21/50 (Harrison’s best score by eight birds and Chris’ second best score); and first time guest Burl Fulenwider with 17/50.
A few shooters also shot a round of skeet. I led us in a devotional on The Wrong Trail.
8/11/11 – 8/12/11 Student Instructor/Student Sporting Clays Shoot
Four officers, seven members, five guests, and one son (a total record 17 total participants) had a great time at the 8/11/11 – 8/12/11 Student Instructor/Student Sporting Clays Shoot at the National Shooting Complex in San Antonio (three attended on 8/11/11 and a one-day record 14 attended on 8/12/11). While the student instructors were teaching us, master instructors observed their techniques and also occasionally taught us. The group sizes were larger this year, as there were fewer instructors (groups of up to seven). Overall, we had good instruction and shot between 6 – 9 boxes of shells each.
The targets were easy for most of us, mostly outgoers and incomers. Although, there was also one really tough incomer that died 40 yards away from the shooting box and curved to the left that all of us had trouble with. There were also two rabbits that gave some of us trouble.
If you consider that six boxes (the minimum amount shot – three rounds of sporting clays) would have cost us $60 at the Capitol City Trap & Skeet Club and we got the benefit of a student instructor for around the 1 ½ hours that each of us shot (a minimum $90 value), then the $25 that we paid was an exceedingly good deal!
8/6/11 Clay Target Shoot
One officer and one member (two total participants) had a great time at the Legacy Outfitters Clay Target Shoot at a ranch near Georgetown. Harold Terry came in second place in the Annie Oakley competition. Randy Rowley shot clays at the “low tech” station. We would like to thank Legacy Outfitters for inviting us to join them.
8/6/11 ‘Margarita Open I’ WB Ranch Sporting Clays Tournament
One officer and three guests (four total participants) had a great time at the Margarita I Open at the WB Ranch near Whitney. The course was challenging and the temperature was hot, but we enjoyed the shoot and had a delicious meal of steak fajitas afterwards in the WB Ranch clubhouse.
For the first round Scott Timpany came in first place with 38/50. Ron Palmer and Paul Ellis came in second place with 36/50. Bruce Crockett came in third place with 25/50.
For the second round Scott came in first place with 37/50. Ron and Paul came in second place with 36/50. Bruce came in third place with 24/50.
For the tournament, Scott shot a 75/100 for 5th place and Paul shot a 72/100 for 6th place in C Class.
Ron Palmer shot a 72/100 for 2nd place and Bruce shot a 49/100 for 9th place in D Class.
7/24/11 ‘Joe McBride Open’ Capitol City Trap & Skeet Club Sporting Clays Tournament
One officer, one member, and two guests (four total participants) had a great time at the 7/24/11 Joe McBride Open Sporting Clays Tournament at the Capitol City Trap & Skeet Club. It was pretty hot.
For the first round Ron Palmer came in first place with 39/50. Paul Ellis and Kenny Hill tied for second place with 34/50. Jim McGee came in third place with 25/50.
For the second round Paul came in first place with 37/50. Kenny came in second place with 34/50. Ron came in third place with 30/50. He was followed by Jim with 14/50.
For the tournament Paul shot 71/100. He had a shoot out and won C class. Ron shot 69/100 and came in second in D class. Kenny shot 68/100 in B class and Jim shot 39/100 in D class.
Ron’s streak of first place wins ended at six. He tied the second longest streak of first place wins in the Club’s history (tied with Randy Rowley). Tim Price retains the longest steak with nine first place wins in a row.
7/23/11 ‘Hotter than Blazes’ Sporting Clays and Skeet Shoot
Two officers, four members, and eight guests (include four first time guests; 14 total participants) had a great time at the 7/23/11 “Hotter than Blazes” Sporting Clays and Skeet Shoot at the Capitol City Trap & Skeet Club. It was overcast and believe it or not, not too hot! We shot report pairs on the hunter course (on group shot true pairs on station #4). They had reset the course and it is now harder.
Randy Rowley and Ron Palmer tied for first place with 44/50 (Ron tied his best score). Kenny Hill and first time guest Don Englefield tied for second place with 42/50 (Kenny beat his former best score by four birds). First time guest Scott Timpany came in third place with 40/50. He was followed by Bruce Crockett with 39/50, Paul Ellis with 36/50 (shooting a 20 gauge), Charles Cutchens with 29/50 (his third best score), Harold Terry with 28/50 (tying his third best score), Chris Rowley with 27/50 (beating her former best score by seven birds), Justin Sheffield with 22/50, first time guest Pratap Gnanamuttu with 20/50, Becky Terry with 15/50, and first time guest Arul Livingston with 6/50. Some of the shooters also shot a round of skeet. Randy led us in a Bible study on The Importance of Scouting.
6/25/11 Parent/Child Skeet Shoot, followed by an FCS Sporting Clays Shoot
Three officers, one member, five guests (include three first time guests), one son, and five youth guests (15 total participants) had a great time at the 6/25/11 Parent/Child Skeet Shoot with First Baptist Church of Pflugerville, followed by an FCS Sporting Clays Shoot at the Capitol City Trap & Skeet Club. It started off pleasant but heated up quickly.
Five youth shot skeet and four of them broke targets.
For sporting clays we shot report pairs on the Hunter Course, which had not been reset. Randy Rowley came in first place with 47/50 (my second best score). Bruce Crockett came in second place with 45/50 (tying his best score). First time guest and first time sporting clays shooter Tom Burke came in third place with 44/50. (What makes Tom’s feat so incredible is his score has only been beaten four times in 124 shoots at Capitol City by over 100 shooters, and this was his first time shooting sporting clays!) He was followed by Ron Denison with 40/50 (his second best score), Harold Terry with 37/50 (tying his best score), Becky Terry with 32/50 (beating her best score by one bird), Alex Denison with 26/50 (beating his best score by one bird), and first time guest and first time sporting clays shooter Hannah Burke with 16/50. First time guest Shelby Shellenberger broke 9/16 targets. Tori Denison threw targets for my group.
6/18/11 ‘Dickie Loy Memorial’ Capitol City Trap & Skeet Club Sporting Clays Tournament
Two officers and two guests (four total participants) had a great time at the 6/18/11 Dickie Loy Memorial at the Capitol City Trap & Skeet Club. There were a total of 62 shooters. Our group arrived at 9:00 AM, shot a round of skeet for warm up, and then headed to the sporting clays field. It was very windy (hat blowing off type of wind with white caps on nearby Decker Lake). On the other hand, the wind made the temperature comfortable. The targets were pretty challenging, but our scores were in the range of previous tournaments.
For the first round Ron Palmer came in first place with 33/50. Paul Ellis came in second place with 31/50. Jim McGee came in third place with 25/50. He was followed by Bruce Crockett with 20/50.
For the second round Ron and Paul tied for first place with 32/50. Bruce came in second place with 29/50. Jim came in third place with 27/50.
For the tournament Ron shot 65/100 and came in third place in D class. Paul shot 63/100 and came in fourth place in C class. Jim shot 52/100 and came in fifth place in D class. Bruce shot 49/100 and came in sixth place in C class.
5/22/11 ‘Emerald Open’ Capitol City Trap & Skeet Club Sporting Clays Tournament
Two officers and two guests (four total participants) had a good time and faced some challenging targets at the Emerald Open Sporting Clays Tournament on Sunday, 5/22/11 at the Capitol City Trap & Skeet Club. There were 90 shooters in the Main event.
For the first round, Ron Palmer came in first place with 36/50. Paul Ellis came in second place with 35/50. Bruce Crockett came in third place with 26/50. He was followed by Jim McGee with 23/50.
For the second round, Paul came in first place with 32/50. Ron and Bruce tied for second place with 27/50. Jim came in third place with 24/50.
For the tournament, Paul came in fifth place in C class with 67/100 (moving up to C class). Ron tied for fourth place in D class with 63/50. Bruce shot a 53/100 and came in tenth place in D class. Jim shot a 47/100 and came in thirteenth place in D class. D class was larger than usual with 18 shooters.
Bruce is now a member of the 1500 broken targets club (he has broken 1535 targets in 59 shoots).
5/7/11 FCS Open (Two Rounds of Sporting Clays)
Three officers, three members, and five guests (including two first time guests; 11 total participants) had a great time at the 5/7/11 FCS Open (Two Rounds of Sporting Clays) at the Capitol City Trap & Skeet Club. It started out overcast but ended up sunny. The south wind started out mild but became strong, especially for the second round. We shot the Hunter Course on the first round and the Masters Course on the second round (six stations each). They tweaked the Hunters Course and it was a little harder than last month. Paul Ellis, Ron Palmer, Bruce Crockett, and Randy Rowley shot true pairs on both courses. Ken Miller joined them shooting true pairs on the second round.
For the first round Ron came in first place with 44/50 (tying his high score). Ken came in second place with 40/50 (his high score by four birds). Bruce and Paul tied for third place with 39/50. They were followed by Thomas Palmer with 36/50 (his third high score), John Partridge with 35/50 (his high score by eight birds), Randy Rowley with 34/50, Becky Terry with 31/50 (her high score by nine birds), Harold Terry and first time guest Tricia Palmer with 27/50 (Harold tied his third high score), and first time guest Charles Rightmer with 19/50.
For the second round Paul came in first place with 41/50 (tying his second best score). Ron came in second place with 39/50 (his third high score). Randy Rowley came in third place with 34/50. He was followed by Bruce with 31/50, Ken with 30/50, Harold with 26/50, Becky with 22/50 (tying her second high score), and Tricia with 20/50 (her second high score).
Harold is now a member of the 25.0 Average Club (25.08 for 12 shoots)! This was Ken’s 49th and 50th shoots!
We ate lunch at the 290 Cafe in Elgin. The food was good, as usual, but the service was bad. I led us in prayer.
4/23/11 ‘Rabbit Shoot’ Gunsmoke Shooting Range Sporting Clays Tournament
Two officers and one guest (three total participants) had a good time at the “Rabbit Shoot” Sporting Clays Tournament on Saturday, 4/23/11 at the Gunsmoke Shooting Range in Snook (11 miles west of College Station). It was very windy, the hat blowing off your head kind of wind, but most of the course was in a wooded area which shielded the shooters from the wind somewhat.
For the first round Ron Palmer came in first place with 35/50. Bruce Crockett came in second place with 28/50. Jim McGee came in third place with 17/50. For the second round Ron came in first place with 33/50. Bruce came in second place with 29/50. Jim came in third place with 25/50.
For the tournament Ron came in 3rd place with 68/100. Bruce came in seventh place with 57/100. Jim came in ninth place with 42/100.
The course was fun to shoot, and most of the targets where the short, curling type. One station had a true pair rabbit! You would call pull, wait about five seconds, and both rabbits would come towards you from over a hilly berm. Bruce found them to be a little tricky and shot behind them a few times. He said that this was the first time he had ever seen a true pair rabbit.
Ron is now a member of the 500 Club. He has broken 554 targets in 18 shoots!
4/9/11 ‘April Showers of Broken Clay Targets’ Sporting Clays Shoot
One officer and one member (two total participants) had a great time at the 4/9/11 “April Showers of Broken Clay Targets” Sporting Clays Shoot at the Capitol City Trap & Skeet Club. It started out overcast but ended up partly cloudy. There was a strong south wind that zipped the targets along that were with the wind. They finally reset the Hunter Course (it was last set in August 2010) and it is now easier than it was before. We shot true pairs for half of the course and report pairs on the other half. Randy Rowley, came in first place with 42/50. Jim Gault came in second place with 34/50 (his second best score and his best score at Capitol City).
4/3/11 ‘South By Southwest’ Capitol City Trap & Skeet Club Sporting Clays Tournament
Two officers, one member, and one guest had a good time at the 4/3/11 Capitol City Trap & Skeet Club ‘South By Southwest’ Sporting Clays Tournament. The wind was blowing pretty hard and really moving the targets around. There were 109 shooters in the tournament and 22 shooters in D Class.
For the first round Paul Ellis came in first place with 42/50 (his high score). Ron Palmer came in second place with 38/50 (his third high score). Jim McGee came in third place with 27/50. He was followed by Bruce Crockett with 22/50. For the second round Paul came in first place with 33/50, Bruce came in second place with 27/50, and Ron came in third place with 26/50. He was followed by Jim with 23/50.
For the tournament Paul won first place in D Class with a 75/100 and took home $93.43, Ron tied for 7th with 64/100, Jim tied for 12th with 50/100, and Bruce tied for 13th with 49/100.

3/5/11 Spring ‘Break the Targets’ Sporting Clays and Skeet Shoot
Three officers, three members, six guests, and one son (13 total participants) had a great time at the 3/5/11 Spring “Break the Targets” Sporting Clays Shoot at the Capitol City Trap & Skeet Club. It started overcast and threatening rain but ended up without a cloud in the sky. We had to contend with a 20 MPH or so wind for the entire shoot, which made the targets more challenging than normal. We shot the hunter course. Bruce Crockett, Paul Ellis, Ron Palmer, Ryan Rowley, and Randy Rowley, shot true pairs. The other seven shooters shot on report pairs.
Paul Ellis came in first place with 38/50 (tying his third best score). Randy Rowley came in second place with 33/50. Ron Palmer came in third place with 32/50. He was followed by Ken Miller with 30/50, first time sporting clays shooter Rich Matteson with 28/50, Bruce Crockett and Harold Terry with 27/50, Ryan Rowley with 24/50, Dick Matteson with 22/50 (his best score by seven birds), and Becky Terry, Drew Rowley, and Evan Papadakis with 19/50 (Evan’s best score and Becky’s second best score). Wade Papadakis helped by throwing targets.
Two items of note: Paul Ellis is now a member of the 500 Club! He has broken 530 targets in 15 shoots! This was also my 100th FCS sporting clays shoot.
2/27/11 ‘Red Apple Open’ Capitol City Trap & Skeet Club Sporting Clays Tournament
Two officers had a good time at the Capitol City Trap & Skeet Club ‘Red Apple Open’ Sporting Clays Tournament on 2/27/11. Jim McGee took first place on both rounds, shooting 26/50 twice. Bruce Crockett came in second place with 25/50 and 24/50. Jim ended up with 52/100 and Bruce shot 49/100. Jim tied for 7th place in D class and Bruce came in 8th.
They had two shooters join them – August Crocker who shot a 93/100 for 3rd place in M Class and 14 year old Jake Fritcher, who shot an 84/100. Bruce stated that they were pretty amazing shooters who breezed through the difficult targets. One thing that August said is that on the crossing chandelles, he used the intercept method rather than trying to follow the path of the arc. August is the Firearms General Manager for Sportsmen’s Finest gun store in Bee Caves.

2/19/11 ‘Spread the Love (Broken Clay Targets) Around’ Sporting Clays and Skeet Shoot
Three officers, four members, six guests (including two first time guests), and two sons (15 total participants) had a great time at the 2/19/11 “Spread the Love (Broken Clay Target) Around Sporting Clays and Skeet Shoot at the Capitol City Trap & Skeet Club. It was overcast and drizzled off and on.
Bret Mercer came in first place with 44/50 (tying his best score; at one point he broke 30 birds in a row!). Randy Rowley came in second place with 43/50 (tying his third best score at Capitol City). Paul Ellis came in third place with 40/50 (his second best score). He was followed by Bruce Crockett and Ron Palmer with 36/50 (Ron’s third best score), Matthew Moerbe with 33/50 (his best score by five birds), Sky Knippa with 32/50 (his best score by eight birds), Greg Moerbe with 30/50 (his second best score), first time guest Mark Berdoll with 26/50, Ken Miller with 24/50, Harold Terry with 19/50, Dick Matteson with 15/50 (his best score by nine birds), and Becky Terry with 13/50.
Jacob and Jeff Asmussen also joined some of the shooters for a round of skeet.
1/22/11 ‘Clays Covered with Ice Sickles’ Sporting Clays Shoot
One officer, five members, and seven guests (including six first time guests), and one son – 14 total participants) had a great time at the 1/22/11 “Clays Covered with Ice Sickles” Sporting Clays Shoot at the Capitol City Trap & Skeet Club. It was cold but there was no wind.Bret Mercer and Ron Palmer tied for first place with 33/50 (Ron’s third best score). Ken Miller and Harold Terry tied for second place with 32/50 (Harold’s second best score). Flint DeShazo came in third place with 31/50 (his best score). He was followed by Richard Garrett and first time guest Nathan Serven with 27/50 (Richard’s third best score), first time guest Sky Knippa with 24/50, Jeff Cates with 21/50 (his second best score), first time guest Mike Johnson with 20/50, first time guest Terry with 17/50, first time guest Jeremy Sistrunk with 16/50, first time sporting clays shooter Harrison DeShazo with 13/50, and first time guest Jana with 10/50.
