2018 was a good year for the club.  Highlights include:

• Our attendance was 478 people, which was 60 more people than last year, and our seventh best.
• We had 76 events, which set a new record (the old record was 75). This was five events more than the 71 that we had planned, due to adding sporting clays tournaments and a LTC class.

• We averaged 6.29 attendees per event, which was our 30^th best.  This is not a significant concern.  I took people on 18 events in my boat (10 self-chartered bass fishing trips, seven self-guided duck hunts, and one self-guided duck scouting trip).  As the most people that I can fit in my boat is four, counting me, these trips contribute to make our overall average low.  For a year-by-year comparison, see our Events Statistics page.
• Our Duck Hunt category attendance set a new record with 62 participants (our old record was 59).  Our Sporting Clays Tournaments category attendance set a new record with 55 participants (our old record was 45).  Our Banquet category attendance set a new record with 29 participants (our old record was 28).  Our Bay Fishing Trip category attendance tied our third best (10 participants; the record is 15).  Our Upland Bird (Pheasant, Chukar, and Quail) Hunt category was our third best (9 participants; the record is 16).  Our 24-hour Sporting Clays Shoot category tied our third best (7 participants, the record is 11).  For a year-by-year comparison, see our Events Statistics and Attendance pages.
• We had record attendance at our Banquet (29 participants on 3/28/18; our old record was 28).  A Self-guided Duck Hunt (5 participants on 12/29/18) and two Self-chartered Bass fishing trips (4 participants; on 3/25/18 and 3/5/18) tied our records.  For a year-by-year comparison, see our Events Statistics and Attendance pages.  Also, see our Records page (there is not a year-by-year comparison).
• We had 10 people join the club (tying our ninth best; the record is 32).  For a year-by-year comparison, see our New Members page.
• We had 21 members renew their memberships (our sixth best; the record is 52, since we have been keeping records in this category).  For a year-by-year comparison (since 2006), see our Membership Renewals page.
• We ended the year with 61 supporting members (our second best; the record is 81, since we have been keeping records in this category).  For a year-by-year comparison (since 2002), see our Supporting Members Summary page.
• We had 34 first time guests (our eighth best; the record is 50, since we have been keeping records in this category).  For a year-by-year comparison (since 2002), see our First Time Guests page.
• During Fiscal Year 2018 (9/1/17 – 8/31/18) we took in $978 in membership dues which is for single and multiple year renewals of 2, 3, and 5 years. Allocated 2018 membership revenue is $1000.  We spent $955, for a net gain of $45. For the ministry fund, we took in $650 and spent $472, for a net profit of $178. We have 88 events planned for 2019.  The increase in the number of events is due to adding all of the sporting clays tournaments at Copperhead Creek.  See our Calendar and Upcoming Events page for details.

Bruce Crockett will oversee planning and reporting of the following events:

• Self-chartered/guided Coastal Blasts and Casts (Duck Hunts and Bay Fishing Trips) (two events)
• Self-guided Dove Hunt – location TBD (one event)
• Self-guided Dove Retreat – location TBD (one event)
• Self-guided Hog Hunts – Junction and Brownwood (two events)
• Self-guided Inland Duck Hunts (six events; my duck rotation is in effect)

Ian Daniels will oversee planning and reporting on the following events:

• Guided Inland Waterfowl Hunts (four guided inland duck hunts (two with Rayce Jenkins and two with Ricky Ethridge), two guided goose hunts with Rayce Jenkins, and a guided teal hunt with Ricky Ethridge) (seven events)

Daryl Shipper will oversee planning and reporting of the following events:

• Chartered Freshwater Striped/Hybrid Bass Fishing Trip (one event)
• Self-chartered Bay Fishing Trip (on a floating cabin) (one event)

Michael Armstrong will oversee planning and reporting of the following events:

• FCS Banquet (one event)
• Self-guided Dove Hunt (one event)

Total = 2 events

Art Barrera will oversee planning and reporting of the following events:

• Self-guided Uvalde Dove Hunts (two events)

Mike Walsh will oversee planning and reporting of the following event:

• Self-guided Dove Hunt (one event)

I’ll be happy to let go of up to nine of my events, including the Chartered Crappie Fishing Trip, Guided Upland Bird Hunt, Ministry Event – Wild Game Dinner, two Self-chartered/guided Coastal Blasts and Casts (Duck Hunts and Bay Fishing Trips), Self-guided Dove Hunt, Self-guided Dove Retreat, and two Self-guided Hog Hunts.  If you are interesting in coordinating any of these events please let me know.
